Josh is one of Manchester’s most in-demand saxophonists for the past 10 years. He’s at home in any genre, from pop to hip hop to classical to drum&bass, and has performed on some of the world’s most iconic stages, including the Royal Albert Hall and The Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury Festival.

Josh has performed with Paul Heaton for the past 6 years, one of the UK’s most celebrated lyricists. He’s performed on numerous UK and European arena tours, as well as to a sold out Royal Albert Hall. Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott’s past 4 studio albums, all of which Josh has performed on, have reached no.1 on the UK charts.

Through working with internationally recognised labels (Sony Music, Ministry of Sound), infamous producers (Jim Abbiss - Adele, Artic Monkeys, Kasabian) and at iconic recording studios (Abbey Road, RAK), Josh has recorded with a variety of successful artists. His horn section recorded Tom Grennan’s first album, Lighting Matches, and more recently with newly famous, The Lathams.

Some other notable names Josh has performed with include:

Craig David, Evelyn “Champagne” King, Jocelyn Brown, Sugababes, Paloma Faith, Emile Sanda, Gabrielle, So Solid Crew, Lily Allen, Bez & Peter Hook.

Josh is able to add  anything from a sax solo to a full horn section in any style of music. Whether it’s recording the artist’s composition, creating an original arrangement or adding a solo, Josh can arrange a studio session with the artist, or record remotely at his home studio.

Josh uses Logic Pro X, a Coles 4038 ribbon microphone and an Aston Spirit microphone for recording.
